Has anyone seen the beautiful cover illustrations for Chinese video game box art (and some Chinese novels)? Although I feel that this is such a beautiful style I rarely see it used by artists on the net on DA or any at all, and I'm clueless as to why.

So here's my new CG trying to use the techniques of that style. This project lasted longer than a month T_T, SO COMPLEX, but its finally over!...Overall I feel that it turned out looking quite good but did not do the style enough justice. My friend said it (still)had a very FF style to my dissapointment.

If anyone thinks she looks familiar its the girl on the right from my last post. I might do one for girl on the left as well for further practice of the style but that might not happen, given how much work goes into one of these. I might not do something so hard for a while (feels overclocked).

If anyone knows a site that has a collection of this styled art please let me know!

Edit: Add the seamlines that were missing on the collar.

Edit2: Holy shit, uploaded the wrong file. None of you saw that :ninja:. Improvements to the face(hopefully).

Very nice work! I really like the girl and how you've drawn her. There's a certain allure about her that you've captured well. Her somewhat dishevelled bangs are very appealing too.

All in all, excellent job with this.

The style looks like the Taiwan PC game cover art 軒轅劍 or 仙劍奇俠傳, but I like yours better.
Especially the eyes, nice touch.
