Cuz everyone needs a Mai Shiranui pic in their gallery, or at least thats what someone said. But I felt like doing something less typical(w/o the normal hair and skimpy outfit). Turns out the problem with that is that it maybe it doesn't look like her alot anymore. Iono, do you guys think I was still kinda able to capture the Mai Shirauni feel? Anyhow, I'm very happy with the way the overall face area turned out.

I originally planned for her to wear a pink sweater and jeans but my friend talked me into doing a kimono. I was going to add patterns to it too but I'm not too good with textures yet and I'm extremely exhausted from looking at this pic so much now.

If you think the background is crappy, its cuz I kinda forced myself into it. I said to myself that I would no longer avoid doing backgrounds in order to practice it and forced myself to include effort in background in every pic from now on.

And boy this took me more time than that SNK Sol picture. The way I color takes way too much time and effort. I think I'm going to get back to more linearted stuff that goes faster. If anyone would like to see the original sketch, I'll upload it to the scraps section(it looks quite different than the finish)
